The Chiefs' head coach believes the injuries to his

kicker & rookie cornerbacks were caused by "loose" turf.

At State Farm Stadium on Sunday, Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker

and rookie cornerback Trent McDuffie were both injured after tripping over the grass.

Butker was forced to miss some games because his leg slipped during kickoff.

During his NFL debut, McDuffie strained his hamstrings as his legs also slipped.

Coach Andy Reid admitted that grass was a significant factor

in injuries when asked about him by two of his players.

Since the Chiefs' 44-21 win on Sunday, Butker has not attended practice

with the group due to an ankle sprain. At the moment,

it is not clear when he is expected to return to full-time.
